Thanks to a YouTube video I discovered a while ago, I have fully mastered a homemade recipe for the delicious Cheesecake Factory avocado egg rolls. Anyone who has been to the popular restaurant has tasted–or at the least seen the egg rolls on tables throughout the restaurant. I recently committed myself to a 1200 calorie a day rule to help me lose weight. Unfortunately, the Cheesecake Factory appetizer had to be sacrificed for this decision since each egg roll equals 545 calories. But have no fear; the grocery store is here! While shopping at Pavilions grocery store, I came across a pack of nasoya wonton egg rolls, which are made with wheat and egg whites. As a result, I can now enjoy homemade egg rolls that are half the calories of the restaurant egg rolls–while still maintaining to have the exact same taste as Cheesecake Factory’s. This discovery has changed my life! I now make egg rolls all the time, and they go great with any entree.
Ingredients: nasoya wonton egg rolls, 5-10 avocados (depending on how many you want to make), sun dried tomatoes in olive oil, cilantro, onions
1. Stir all ingredients above (except the wontons) to create guacamole.
2. Place two spoons of guacamole in each nasoya wonton, and fold neatly.
3. Pan fry in olive oil and flip sides in 3 minutes.
Tip: Egg rolls are pretty big so cut in half to serve to large groups.
