Have you ever had Mac n’ Cheetos before??? As in, perfectly baked mac and cheese topped with Hot Cheetos from the vending machine? Well neither had I, but all that changed on a lovely Monday when I decided to meet a fellow blogger for lunch at The Attic on Broadway in Long Beach, CA. I was excited to try this place because they specialized in Cajun food and offered southern style menu items such as Shrimp and Grits and Po’ Boys, which is pretty hard to find in LA (coming from a girl who attended college in Atlanta, GA).
Anyway, we dined on the patio so we could enjoy the warm winter weather we’ve been experiencing in LA….and taste tested the Shrimp and Grits – grilled garlic and herb crusted shrimp, served over tasso grits, drizzled with honey, topped with rosemary and herbs, Buttermilk Fried Chicken – served with mama’s slaw, yukon gold potatoes and southern gravy; and the Mac n’ Cheetos – pasta with cheddar, mozzarella, and jack cheese, topped with flaming hot cheetos and green onions.
I loved EVERYTHING that we ordered and I particularly couldn’t stop snacking on the Mac n’ Cheetos. I was basically a Hot Cheeto addict in elementary school and I’m sure you guys have noticed by now that I love mac n’ cheese, and pretty much anything that has cheese in it lol. So I found the combination of the two to be absolutely delicious.
